Week after week, the internet abounds with great foodie inspiration and Good (Food) Reads and we love getting to share them with you. I have been craving some sweets and breakfast foods lately and so it should be no surprise that my picks for Good (Food) Reads are filled with sweets and treats and a just a few comfort foods that work for breakfast, brunch, or in between. Do you have a favorite sweet treat or breakfast go to?
Because I can’t function these days without my coffee in the morning, I’m all kinds of excited about Sweet Paul’s recipe for Vietnamese Iced Coffee.
Make Ahead Huevos Rancheros Breakfast Burritos are on my to do list for tomorrow. I want to stash these away for those lazy mornings where I want a substantial breakfast but can’t bear the thought of busting out the pots and pans. Anyone have other make ahead breakfast recipes they love? Send them my way!!
We had our first weekend of cooler temps in months recently and it’s got me thinking about fall. These Caramel Apple Crisp Bites (via Princess Pinky Girl) are getting filed away for a trip to the apple orchard!
Late Summer Vegetable Enchilada Pie (Not Without Salt) is basically my dream recipe. The ex-vegetarian in me is so excited to try this recipe for next week’s Meatless Monday dinner!
Fig, Hazelnut, and Ricotta Crostini (Spoon Fork Bacon) is the appetizer of my dreams. Plus, look at those pictures. Gorgeous!!!
Since my dear husband hates tomatoes, I’m going to save this beautiful recipe for Avocado, Bacon, and Egg Toast with Quick Tomato Jam (How Sweet It Is) for the next time I’m flying solo for dinner.
Cardamom Coffee Cake with Bulletproof Frosting (Molly Yeh). This recipe wins the award for best frosting name. Inspired by bulletproof coffee (i.e. coffee blended with butter), this is a cardamom cake with a coffee buttercream frosting. YUM.
I am so curious to try these non-alcoholic Salty Watermelon Shrub Elixirs (Heartbeet Kitchen). Anything that features LaCroix sparkling water is right up my alley (seriously, you guys, I have an addiction).
Healthy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Zucchini Oatmeal Cookies (Ambitious Kitchen). Whew! Say that name 3 times fast. Regardless, these are definitely on my to-bake list. I love AK’s zucchini muffins and so I’m betting these are phenomenal as well.
Banana Cream Pie Donuts (Joy the Baker). I know, I know. But did you look at them? Drooling. Just drooling…Well done, Joy. Well done.
Friends, that’s it for Good (Food) Reads this week. As always, we love to hear from you. Send us your favorite recipes, blogs, or other foodie inspiration!
