Roasted Broccoli

This broccoli is vibrant, tasty and oh, so easy to make! For variety, you could also use the juice of an orange instead of the lemon, an additional 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, or an additional 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of broccoli broken into florets (or 1 bag of broccoli florets)
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 of a medium lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
  2. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange on a baking pan.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice, from 1/2 lemon, over broccoli.
  5. Roast for 20 minutes or until broccoli develops brownish tips .
  6. Pour broccoli into a bowl.
  7. Enjoy!
