An indulgent, sweet treat perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea.
Preheat your oven to 375F.
Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking liner or parchment paper.
Gently unroll the dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place the triangles on your prepared baking sheet.
Using a spoon, spread about a teaspoon of Dulce de Leche onto the upper 2/3 of each of the dough pieces.
Cut an apple in half and then cut the half into 8 small slices. You can peel the apple or leave the skin on - your choice! Place the apple slice on the wider end of the dough triangle.
Make some cinnamon sugar by combining the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and giving it a quick stir to mix.
Sprinkle each piece of dough with a generous amount of cinnamon sugar and then simply roll up the dough to seal in the apple.
Brush the top of each crescent roll with melted butter and sprinkle with a little more cinnamon sugar.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes (check the package directions for your brand of crescent dough - I used Pillsbury). Remove from the oven and let cool slightly and then enjoy!
These rolls are best served warm and on the day they are made.
