This is a simple, healthy dinner that can be made in less than 20 minutes. Magic! Add red pepper flakes if you desire a little heat. My family of 4 usually eats 1 1/4 pounds of salmon for dinner.

Ingredients
1-2poundsfresh salmon filet
2Tablespoonsmaple syruppure maple syrup, NOT pancake syrup
2TablespoonsDijon mustard
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoongarlic powder
red pepper flakesoptional
Instructions
Preheat broiler.
In a small bowl combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt and garlic powder with a whisk.
Cover a baking sheet with tin foil (makes clean up quick too!).
Lay salmon skin side down on foil covered baking sheet.
Cover salmon with maple mustard sauce.
Sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if desired)
Broil on high for 10-15 minutes depending on the thickness of your filet and your desired consistency (check regularly after 10 minutes to ensure salmon does not become overcooked).
