- 
										Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. 
- 
										Tear loaf of bread into small, bite sized pieces and place into baking dish. 
- 
										Sprinkle diced apples among the bread pieces. 
- 
										In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. 
- 
										Pour egg mixture over pieces of bread in baking dish. 
- 
										In a small bowl, using a fork or pastry blender, combine flour, brown sugar, remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cold butter until a pebbly mixture . 
- 
										Pour crumbly topping mixture over top of baking dish. 
- 
										Cover with foil and place into the refrigerator overnight. 
- 
										When ready to make french toast bake, preheat oven to 350ºF. 
- 
										Take baking dish out of the refrigerator and allow to warm up for 10 minutes. 
- 
										Place foil wrapped baking dish into preheated oven. 
- 
										Bake for 30 minutes. 
- 
										Remove foil and continue to bake for an additional 30 minutes. 
- 
										Allow to cool for 10 minutes. 
- 
										Slice and serve.
