Friends, the time has come for another Good Food Reads. When this post publishes, I’ll be deep in the throes of newborn life and not sure how much cooking and baking I’ll be doing but I don’t want to be without inspiration for the fall so here are is another set of recipes I can’t wait to try (when I get back to the kitchen!). As always, we love to hear your suggestions for Good Food Reads and the blog in general. Email, tweet, FB message us or say hi on Instagram!
Broccoli Cheddar Chicken and Dumpling Soup (Half Baked Harvest). Oh, this one looks like comfort food at it’s finest, doesn’t it?
Bourbon Spiked Pear Pull Apart Scone Bread (Broma Bakery). I love to bake with bourbon, though I can’t say I particularly like to drink it. It tends to give things just a hint of vanilla, warm, buttery bite and I love the idea of mixing it with fresh pear. Added to my baking to do list.
Swedish Cardamom Buns (Hither and Thither). My husband is part Swedish and loves all things pastry related. These might be a fun thing to try out when I get back to baking soon!
Mocha Caramel Crunch Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars (Half Baked Harvest). Oh man, if these bars taste nearly as good as they look, my jeans are in big trouble.
Dark Chocolate Zucchini Muffins (Simple Bites). Because they’re healthy if you add vegetables, right? Right.
Coconut Rice with Brussels Sprouts (Love and Lemons via Dinner A Love Story). It’s no secret that I love brussels sprouts but I’ve never thought to pair them with coconut rice. This would be a great recipe for Meatless Mondays!
Chicken Enchiladas with Salsa Verde (NYT). I’m constantly on the search for a go to enchilada recipe. Lately, I’ve been loving Gwyneth Paltrow’s enchiladas from It’s All Easy (you can find the recipe here), but I’m excited to try this version with salsa verde.
Roasted Cauliflower Soup with Cumin (Joy the Baker)
A roundup of 10 Favorite Soup Season Recipes via Love and Lemons. Because nothing is better in the fall than hot soup on a cool night.
Molly Yeh’s cookbook, Molly on the Range, is finally out and Two Red Bowls is featuring her All of the Alliums Fried Rice! I can’t wait to try this one – love the suggestion to serve with Sriracha and mayo. If you add a protein, this would certainly be a great one pot meal.
Until next week…
