The countdown is ON. With only two days until Super Bowl LII, it is definitely go-time on the game day menu. I absolutely love Super Bowl parties because they give me an excuse to make lots of appetizers and bite sized treats. Chips, dips, wings, cheese trays? I’m in. I don’t play favorites when it comes to grazing. I’ve got some great plans for my own game day menu and thought I’d share some of my Super Bowl Party Favorites right here in case you’re looking for some fun new treats to make, too.
In addition to the standard chips, and cheese platters, I love to have a few hot appetizers for parties. Our Cheesy Artichoke Dip is an easy crowd pleaser and can be made ahead of time and baked when your guest arrive. Our Pesto Caprese Dip is another game time favorite. Serve them with pita chips or rosemary crackers and your guests will thank you.
If you’re looking for a bite sized appetizer that’s a little bit sweet and a little bit savory, look no further than my favorite Whipped Goat Cheese Cups with Honey and Pistachios. The key is to make the wonton cups the day before and then fill them the morning of the party.
If you are planning on a veggie tray, definitely try our Game Day Dill Dip. It’s an easy, healthy alternative to store bought veggie dip and takes only about 10 minutes to make. It’s also great as a dip for buffalo wings, in case you want to get two birds with one culinary stone.
Speaking of wings, what Super Bowl party is complete without wings? I’m planning to make these Slow Cooker Sticky Chicken Wings (Damn Delicious). Food and Wine also has a collection of 37 Chicken Wing recipes if you want to get crazy. I want to try the Chicken Wings with Angry Sauce, mostly because I love the name!
These Sweet and Sour Meatballs from Danielle Walker over at Against All Grain are also fantastic (and paleo!).
Finally, if you’re looking for a few new twists on party favorites, why not try these Southern BBQ Nachos or some Creamy, French Onion Soup Dip in Bread Bowls?
Well friends, that’s what’s on my Super Bowl menu. If you’ve got party favorites that you’d love to share, send us an email and we’d love to feature it!
