I’ve been feeling extra snack-y lately. For whatever reason, sit down meals just haven’t been my thing. Snacks though? All over it. It may have something to do with the busy, end of summer, cram-it-all-in-before-it-gets-cold life we are living right now but I’m embracing it, whatever it is. This week’s Good Food Reads is a selfish collection of snack recipes that I’m hoping to try in the coming weeks. Got a favorite snack? Let me know on social media. Or just dive right in and enjoy this week’s Good Food Reads: Snack Time!
Since everyone’s gardens are exploding with zucchini right now, these Parmesan Zucchini Crisps are a must try recipe! A crunchy, salty treat that is healthy to boot. Love it.
We added a screen porch to our home last year and it is hands down the best investment we’ve made in our space. It’s my favorite spot to sit in the evening, with a glass of wine and my husband. I’m thinking this cheese board would be a great addition to our next porch session.
The dog days of summer are here and it got me thinking: why should kids get all of the popsicle fun when the weather gets warm? I wouldn’t be sad to try this adult version: Bailey’s Cookies and Cream Popsicles! These Piña Colada Italian Ice Pops also sound great.
Andie Mitchell does a great job of marrying treats with a healthier twist. Since we’re heading on a beach trip shortly, I’m planning to try her 250 Calorie Banana Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. Has anyone tried them?
Brown Butter Strawberry Bread. It will be happening. And I’m not planning on sharing.
Oatmeal Raisin Granola Bars will be a great addition for your back to school snack time! We still have a few weeks before back to school here in MN, but I’m trying to be prepared. I also want to try these New Mama Glow Bars from Oh She Glows. They are lactation friendly, but also nut-free and would be a great addition to any kiddos lunchbox!
Also, did you guys see these Brown Sugar Peach Puff Pastry Pop Tarts? I am losing my mind. They look so good! My husband hates peaches (I know, I know…) so I’m saving this recipe for a fun girls day!
And, speaking of a snack for a fun day? Check out these Apple Pie Marshmallows. So gorgeous.
Finally, since I’m trying to squeeze out every last bit of summer – I’m definitely making these Cheescake Bars with All the Berries ASAP.
What are you making this weekend? Let us know! We’d love to hear from you on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
Have a great weekend, friends.
Happy Cooking.
