Today on the blog, I’m sharing How I’m Prepping for Thanksgiving and we’ve got a free, downloadable PDF to help you prep, too!

Baked Honey Nut Chicken Tenders

November 12, 2019 By Holly Leave a Comment

Feeding kids can be a tricky endeavor. While some kids are born adventurous eaters, others (like my three year old) subsist on a tightly held list of approved foods. For whatever reason, most kids do seem to love chicken tenders. I’m not sure if it’s the crispy breading, the sweet, mildly flavored meat, or the fact that chicken tenders are often used as edible vehicles for a sweet dip of some variety. Our new recipe for Baked Honey Nut Chicken Tenders is a healthier take on that childhood classic – and is sure to thrill even the most picky of eaters.

Pumpkin Pecan Scones

October 1, 2019 By Holly 3 Comments

It’s pumpkin season, friends. This versatile little squash is probably best known for the eponymous seasonal latte and as a fall decoration, but I love to bake with it. From my Mother-in-law’s famous pumpkin bread to our pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin is a key ingredient in so many of my fall and winter recipes. This week I’m sharing our new recipe for Pumpkin Pecan Scones.

The start of a new school year and the end of summer is a busy and exciting time. It also means that mornings can be a lot crazier as we all slowly get back into routines. No Bake Ice Cream Bars – Your New Summer Favorite!

June 11, 2019 By Holly 1 Comment

I have long said that if I could only choose one type of food to eat for the rest of my life, it would definitely be ice cream. I loooove ice cream. My love affair with the stuff started with family bike trips to the Dairy Queen as kid. At summer camp during my teen years, I was introduced to the gloriousness of Ben and Jerry’s Phish Food, an addiction that continues today. And don’t even get me started on my gelato obsession. Our family rule is: when in Europe, ice cream must be eaten at least once daily. Needless to say, I’m a fan of ice cream. That’s why I’m so excited to share with you our all-new No Bake Ice Cream Bars!

5 Travel Essentials For Long Flights

May 31, 2019 By Holly Leave a Comment

If you’ve been following With Two Spoons for awhile, you might have noticed that both Lane and I love to travel. We both really love the thrill of experiencing new places and cultures, especially when it comes to food! Late last week, my husband and I snuck away to Hawaii to celebrate our birthdays. Hawaii is one of our favorite places in the world for so many reasons – beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches, and (of course) amazing food. It’s our favorite place to really, truly relax. The one thing we don’t always love? The flight time. From the midwest, you’re looking at a solid 9 hours of in seat time to get to this island paradise. And while Hawaii is 100 percent worth it, as well all know, flying isn’t always the most pleasant of experiences. That being said, I’ve discovered over time that there are a few small things that can make long flights a little more enjoyable. Here’s my personal list of 5 Travel Essentials for Long Flights! 5 Essentials for Long Flights…

The 5 Things You Need to Read This Weekend

May 3, 2019 By Holly 2 Comments

It’s Friday! Finally. Right?

After a long and busy week, I am so ready for this weekend. Lane and I are heading up to her cabin for a fun filled girls weekend of recipe testing, food photography, and all around fun. It’s going to be a great time! I spent the morning pouring over my pages of recipe notes and ideas and then running to Trader Joes for all the things we are going to need for our weekend cooking extravaganza. My groceries are temporarily tucked away and shortly I’m going to pack up my weekend gear, but before I do, I wanted to share a few of my favorite things from around the web this week. It’s a quick little list, but one I hope you enjoy when you get some time. Grab some of our Lemon Cardamom Monkey Bread (pictured below), a good cup of coffee, and pull up a chair. Here are The 5 Things You Need to Read This Weekend…

Friday Five: Life Hacks

November 9, 2018 By Lane 13 Comments

I wear many different shoes throughout a day.  I’m a mom, wife, daughter, full time physician, and food blogger all of which translates into a crazy, BUSY life.  I’m willing to bet y’all are facing similar challenges.  Feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day?  Me too!  Feel like you’re barely hanging on sometimes? I hear you loud and clear!  Chaos abound in your house?  Yep, mine too!  So this Friday Five, let’s talk about making our lives just a little bit easier.  Commit to taking the next 5 minutes for yourself, grab a cup of coffee (or glass of wine, no judgement here) and let’s see if we can help. I’m going to share a few of my favorite life hacks and hopefully you’ll be willing to share yours as well!
