Friday Five: These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

November 30, 2018 By Holly Leave a Comment

Whew! It’s been a busy one around here and I am so glad that it’s Friday (despite the fact that I’m working all weekend – sigh). Before I dive into this week’s Friday five, I wanted to share that we did a fun Facebook interview with the amazing Dr. Hammerstedt of Wholist Health on Wednesday! We had a blast sharing a little bit of our story and some tips for healthy eating and cooking – including these healthy Veggie Quinoa Cakes. Find the link to the interview on Facebook and be sure to check out Wholist. Now, onto our Friday Five…
This week’s Friday Five is a quick little collection of fun things I’m loving, reading, making, and listening to this week. I hope you find some new favorites! We’d love to hear all about your Friday Five Favorites……

Friday Five: Life Hacks

November 9, 2018 By Lane 13 Comments

I wear many different shoes throughout a day.  I’m a mom, wife, daughter, full time physician, and food blogger all of which translates into a crazy, BUSY life.  I’m willing to bet y’all are facing similar challenges.  Feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day?  Me too!  Feel like you’re barely hanging on sometimes? I hear you loud and clear!  Chaos abound in your house?  Yep, mine too!  So this Friday Five, let’s talk about making our lives just a little bit easier.  Commit to taking the next 5 minutes for yourself, grab a cup of coffee (or glass of wine, no judgement here) and let’s see if we can help. I’m going to share a few of my favorite life hacks and hopefully you’ll be willing to share yours as well!

It’s been a crazy, but fun, few weeks around here. Lane has been jaunting around Europe on an amazing anniversary trip (Happy Anniversary, L&J!) and I’ve been blending work with a fun little get away of my own (more on that later). In the midst of it all, life has been busy, busy, busy and these are the fun little things that are making it better and keeping me sane. It’s a fun Friday Five for 10.19.18 and I hope you’ll read along and share some of the things that you’ve been loving lately, too! mini donuts

(PS: I’m loving all the carbs this week. Wanna make some easy, super awesome donuts? Try these.)…

GFR: A Cozy Friday Five

September 21, 2018 By Holly Leave a Comment

Hey Friends! It seems overnight, the cold arrived in Minnesota. I celebrated my birthday this past weekend with a string of gorgeous (and hot!) 90 degree days. It felt like summer’s last big hurrah and we soaked it up.  Monday afternoon, the storms rolled in and so did the cool weather. Since I’m also trying to cultivate a daily gratitude practice, I figured I would make the focus for this week’s Friday Five all about my favorite cozy things. An overhead photo of a bowl of BBQ Chicken Macaroni and Cheese…
