Holly did something a little different last week, and I’m going to take a little detour from food this week also. Not only do Holly and I LOVE food and cooking and being in the kitchen, we also LOVE reading. If you follow With Two Spoons on Instagram and watched our stories last week, you might have seen a little oops moment that occurred when I was trying to photograph a new drink recipe. For those who missed it, I accidentally knocked over a full drink (ugh!) onto a marble pastry slab and shattered the wine glass, spilled the drink, and tipped over a nearly full bottle of prosecco onto my carpet. It was most definitely not one of my finer moments, but in the end, the drink was well worth it. Friends, meet your new summer drink: The Hugo Spritz.

If you’ve been following us on social media, you might know that I spent a good portion of the month eating my way through the mediterranean. It was a lovely trip filled with gelato, amazing Greek food, and fantastic Italian drinks. I’ll definitely be posting more on my trip (and some travel inspired recipes!) later this summer, but as I transition back into real life and recover from jet lag, I’ve been relying on quick and easy recipes to get dinner on the table for my family. All of our Instagram followers are probably laughing right now. Me and my salads (if you haven’t checked them out, head to our feed!). But I won’t apologize! I recently took my daughter to New York City and it was SO fun to see the city through her eyes. Vibrant and alive, New York City is one of my favorite places to visit.
